MIG/MAG equipment

MIG welding or arc welding with fusible wire in neutral gas protection is a type of arc welding. It is a semi-automatic or automatic welding process, which uses a continuous supply of bare wire as a welding electrode, and is shielded with an inert (neutral) or semi-inert mixture of shielding gases (usually argon), to protect the welded joint from contamination.

Welding is performed by manual, mechanized or automatic torch guidance with an adjustable welding device. It is suitable for welding metal (similar to TIG welding) with a thickness of up to several millimeters, depending on the type of material. It is primarily used for welding rail vehicles (aluminum alloy), vessels, containers for the food industry, pipes, stainless steel, for welding, etc. MIG welding has an advantage over TIG welding from the point of view of economy (more kilograms of welded material per hour).
