Electrode holders
The electrode holder is a clamping device for holding the electrode , safely, in any position. The welding cable is connected to the holder through a hollow insulated handle. The design of the electrode holder allows quick and easy replacement of the electrode.

There are two basic types of electrode holders: insulated and non-insulated. Non-insulated are not recommended as they are susceptible to accidental short circuiting during welding. Electrode holders are made in different sizes, and manufacturers have their own marking system. Each holder is designed for use in a specific range of electrode diameters and welding current. When welding with a 300-ampere machine, you need stronger electrode holders than when welding with a 100-ampere machine.
